Many people only pray when they can’t resolve something on their own. Others only come to Him for blessings because they feel He has to bless them. But—God doesn’t serve us; we serve Him! He is the Creator of all, Holy and Almighty, full of love and mercy. He wants to bless us, but as long as we serve the god of this world, He can’t. But, when we turn from the world and accept Jesus as our Savior, we become His children! Then, as we delight ourselves in His presence and give Him honor and glory, He hears our prayers and gives us the desires of our hearts.
