As this evil, chaotic world presses toward God’s wrath, we realize we can’t trust anyone anymore, and our personal hopes and dreams get crushed. Planning for the future has become a survival strategy rather than a peaceful retirement. But God! We are so thankful that God does not change; what He said in the Bible still stands today. False teachers and critics may twist the words and cause many to doubt, but those of us who know Jesus know that He can NOT and does NOT lie! It says in Hebrews 13:8 that He is the same today as He was yesterday and will be tomorrow, and in Matthew 24:35, it says that His Word stands forever. Many choose to doubt it, but that is their loss: God remains faithful. He does what He says, and in Him we can rest with peace, confidence, and hope—knowing we have a bright future with Him!
