This world is corrupt, governed by a devil that wants to destroy us. And when we accept Jesus as our Savior, Satan continues to give us problems (John 16:33), but he no longer has power over us because we belong to Jesus! So, we don’t go to the world for advice and counsel because they don’t know God’s will for us, as they still answer to Satan, who lies and deceives. We go to God in prayer and give Him our issues, and then get into the Word so He can encourage and lead us. God IS our help in times of trouble, not the world. We must always seek God and His ways first, not the world’s! When our hope and faith are in Jesus, we will always be blessed and come through our issues with victory—God’s victory!
