With a lamp, we can see in the dark. Without it, we stumble and fall. As Christians in this dark world, God gave us His Spirit as our lamp, who leads and guides us in the darkness. But a lamp needs oil, so we must study the Bible daily to know His Truth and keep our lamps filled; otherwise, the world can deceive us and get us off track. The more we study, the easier it is to follow God. Jesus called us to be His disciples and has given us His Word for wisdom and instruction and His Lamp to light our paths as we share God’s love and salvation message with those who don’t know Jesus.
