Good works are NOT required by us to receive salvation because salvation is a gift from God. It was given to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus, His Son, and is available to everyone who believes in Him. When we become Christians, God’s Spirit lives in us and shines through us in everything we say and do so that our actions and reactions are like those of Jesus. Then the people of this world can see God in us and realize that He loves them, too, and that He is reaching out to them through us!
