A Name to Be Praised

Many Christians don’t see the need to praise God, especially when they’re hurting. As John 3:16 tells us, Jesus defeated the one behind our problems at the cross, but Jesus also reminds us in John 16:33 that we’ll have problems as long as we’re on this earth because the devil’s here and wants to destroy us through his ongoing attacks (John 10:10). When we give God praise, He fills us with joy that becomes our strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and the devil flees (James 4:7) because he can’t bear to be in the presence of the One who is now our Savior AND our Lord!
