Contrary to false teaching, the Christian life is not peaceful, prosperous, and problem-free. This sinful world hates Christians because it hates Jesus. It even tried to kill Him at the cross—but He rose from the grave and is alive! Jesus warned us that if we follow Him, we would also suffer tribulation in this world. The path that leads to life will be rough at times, but our focus should be on what Jesus has prepared up ahead for us. Very soon, the unsaved in this world will enter the Great Tribulation of judgment and discipline, but we who love Jesus will be taken to Heaven, where we’ll celebrate life with Him. The path to Heaven is narrow as there’s not a lot of traffic, but the view is beautiful because we know where it leads.

Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
