We are born into this world and we are under the rule of this world until we accept Jesus as our Savior who forgives us for the sins that have kept us captive. Once we are free, we belong to Jesus and He becomes our Lord, the One who we answer to and who watches over us. He provides all of our needs, and covers us with His love and peace. He heals us, protects us, leads us, and fills us with His wisdom. When Jesus is our Lord, we don’t have to accept the burdens of this world; we can give them to Him and get the victory through them. When we put our trust in Him, we can stand against the devil because we are filled with Christ’s righteousness and the devil has no power over us.
