When Jesus walked this earth, He told us that He was the light—the One who shines truth and salvation to the people in this dark and lost world. Before He returned to Heaven, Jesus told us that we would continue to be His light because He would give us His Spirit to live in us and shine His truth through us. The light of Jesus is still alive in this world because it shines through us! So as long as we are here, let’s keep shining! The day is drawing very near when we will be called Home to be with Him and the light that now shines through us will be gone. The hope of people finding salvation through Christ after that will be very slim, so let’s keep shining and showing people the path to salvation while we still can.
