Many people today are being deceived by the lies of a new age “religion” known as Universalism that says salvation is automatic for everyone. This is a false doctrine and those that follow it will die lost because lies will not save anyone.

Salvation is a gift (Ephesians 2:8) offered to us by Christ, and we must each accept it, confess it, and then live it in its truth! We must turn away from the sin we used to live in and follow Christ and His ways.

• God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.—John 3:16

Universalism teaches that when Jesus died on the cross and said, “It is finished” He meant that the entire human race was redeemed and that regardless of our sins, we will all go to Heaven! This is a lie and wrong on every level as God is Holy and He will never allow sin into Heaven. He cast Satan out when he rebelled, so it’s absolute foolishness to think that God would ever allow any form of sin to enter His Holy Heaven.

Jesus died on the cross to provide a means of salvation for every person ever born but ONLY those who accept it personally will be saved. Apostle Peter tells us in Acts 2:38  that we must repent of our sins and ask Jesus to forgive us and to come and live in us, and THEN we will be forgiven and receive God’s Holy Spirit in our hearts. Salvation is not to be assumed; it’s to be received with a humble heart, and then we will be able to love God with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength, and follow Him. No one can be saved and still willfully engage in sin because God’s Holy Spirit in that person will not allow them to do it!

Jesus is coming soon to take His children home—not the deceived ones who were too caught up with selfish living to accept His salvation, but the ones who gave their hearts to Him and did accept it.
