Most people have heard of Jesus. Some of them go to church. Many can even quote Scripture. But there’s a big difference between knowing “about” Jesus and accepting Him as Savior. Even Satan knows who Jesus is, but he doesn’t worship, honor, or obey Him, and his future is eternal hell. If we want to get to Heaven when we leave this earth, and be blessed by God now, we must have His truth in our hearts, not just acknowledge it in our heads. The contents of the Bible are more than mere words. When we accept Jesus as our Savior and read the Bible, the words become life to our souls. The Truth gets into our hearts; we realize they are God’s words to us and the benchmark for everything we say, do, and think.
