As a Sunday school teacher, my favorite song to sing with the children was “I’ve got the joy of the Lord down in my heart!” As Christians, we must remind ourselves that, despite all we go through in this dark, corrupt world, Jesus is our Lord who has overcome it all, and His love fills us with joy beyond words. He saved us from the punishment of sin and prepared a Home for us in Heaven beyond our imagination. And while we’re here on this earth, He is with us every minute of every day, leading us, providing for us, and protecting us from situations that we’re not even aware of. When we realize how much He loves and cares for us, and that He’s coming soon to take us Home, we’re filled with a joy that gives us the strength to keep going!
