A good idea can’t save us. Knowing about Jesus and even agreeing with Him won’t get us into Heaven. We must have a passport and become citizens of Heaven before we can enter, and the only passport acceptable is the infilling of God’s Spirit that Jesus gives us when we accept Him as our Savior. Many think they’re Christians; they go to church and even tithe, but unless they have surrendered to Him as their Lord and Savior, they still carry the sins of this world, and those sins aren’t acceptable in Heaven. Jesus is more than a good idea—He’s the only One who can take our sins away and give us entrance to a Heavenly eternity. And following Him comes naturally to us who love Him because we study the Bible and hear His voice!
