When I was younger, I could never understand why the elderly would lose interest in the homes they’d struggled to keep or the things they’d collected and treasured throughout their lives. But now I’m older, serve the Lord and study my Bible every day, and I think as they do. We can’t keep anything we have; it all belongs to this world, but that’s okay because Jesus has something better for us in Heaven. The things of this earth should not be treasures to us—only conveniences. Our hearts should focus on Jesus, our greatest treasure, and on the things He’s created for us in Heaven, and our eyes should be looking up because He’s coming soon to take all believers there!
