Analyzing Fear

The fear we have of the Lord isn’t paranoia where we’re afraid to do something wrong, or He’ll zap us. It’s a reverence that recognizes Him as God Almighty, the Holy One of Israel, our Creator, Pure and Just. As sinners, we can’t come into God’s Holy presence, so Jesus left His throne, became a man, and died on the cross to pay the punishment for our sins and redeem us to God, our Father. His salvation is for everyone who will accept it. We’re forgiven and filled with His Spirit, made presentable to God, our Father. His Word stands eternally true; what He says, He means, and we believe it and respect it as we study and follow Jesus, because He is our Lord and Savior.
