People pray for different reasons. Some come as a last resort for help; others just for God’s blessings. But we who know Jesus as our Savior, pray because He’s our Lord and we love Him. He’s our provider, healer, counselor, and friend, and we study the Bible to know Him more so we can live for Him. Our lives are in His hands, and we trust Him. Death doesn’t scare us because we know that to be absent from our body is to be present with the Lord, and this is what we crave—to be with Jesus. We rejoice because Jesus is coming for us soon with open arms, and we shall see God and be with Him forever!
