This evil world has nothing to give us except sorrows as it races into God’s wrath. But God gives us everything! He sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins and redeem us back to Himself, and when we accept Jesus as our Savior, He fills us with His Spirit—we are children of God! We can read the Bible and see more than just words; we can be filled with the life and meaning behind them. The more we read, the closer to God we get, and the more we understand who He is and who we are in Christ. He’s no longer a stranger, but our Lord, and it becomes easy for us to come before Him, tell Him our problems, and have full confidence that He not only hears us but answers us because God loves us and He is faithful to His Word!
