When we grasp who Jesus is and what He’s done for us, words aren’t enough to express the joy in our hearts. The prophecies of the coming Messiah were detailed in the Old Testament, yet the only ones who waited anxiously for the birth of their Savior were the shepherds, so God told them first. The joy in their hearts that night is hard to express in words, but they rejoiced and praised God for His precious gift. And this Christmas, we also rejoice and praise God for His faithfulness in sending Jesus, our Savior.
