There’s a big difference between trying to be a Christian and being one. When we know Jesus as our Savior, it’s NOT a chore to read our Bibles or pray because we WANT to know AND obey God, and we WANT to help others and pray for their needs. It’s our JOY to sing praises to our Lord because He’s the Son of God, who set us free from the chains of hell and death. He answers our prayers, leads us through tribulations, blesses us with good things, and fills us with His peace. We rejoice and serve the Lord with gladness—not because we have to, but because we want to!
