A relationship with anyone is a two-way street. It takes both parties’ love, commitment, and sacrifice to turn a friendship into a lasting relationship. Jesus wants to have a relationship with us! He loved us before we were born, sacrificed His own body on the cross to take the punishment for our sins, and promised that if we’d accept Him, He would be our friend forever. But we have to fulfill half of the relationship, as well. So, we study the Scriptures to KNOW Him and spend personal time in prayer WITH Him, and the closer we draw to Jesus, the greater our relationship will be.
