When we run into other Christians who appear unfriendly or strangers who treat us rudely, often our first reaction is to return the negative gesture. But this is wrong because we don’t know what they’re going through or how badly they’re hurting on the inside—but God knows. He may have put them on our path so we could show them His love and mercy through a simple smile, a helping hand, or a word of encouragement, something they may desperately need at that very moment. We are God’s children, and He wants us to love each other with the same heart that He loves us.
