We celebrate this day because Jesus told us to remember it in honor of our freedom in Him! He died on the cross for our sins, then rose from the grave, conquering death and giving eternal life to those who will accept Him as Savior. Easter began as a pagan celebration with bunnies and chocolates and egg hunts to welcome spring long before Jesus came to earth. But Christians don’t follow the world’s ways or reasons: we follow the Biblical calendar, and this is the day we celebrate the victory of our King!
