Our job as Christians isn’t to bring on world peace; it’s to shine as lights of hope in the darkness so others can see the love and peace of God in us. But we can’t do that if we’re easily provoked into heated arguments over Scripture or self-driven to tell someone about Jesus who doesn’t want to hear it. Just as we catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, we’ll get more people to hear our message about Jesus when our words and actions reflect His love and peace than by inflicting the world’s attitude.
