Many Christians don’t realize that accepting the salvation of Jesus means we are forgiven for our sins, but we are not perfect. We can still be tempted by sins and habits that will keep us from God’s presence if we don’t study the Scriptures to know God and draw close to Him. The more we fill up on His truth, the more we can cast the ways of the world out of us and the purer our hearts become. As we study, we grow in faith, knowledge, and wisdom, and the Scriptures come alive in our hearts, and we WILL see Jesus because He IS the Word of God.
