When a man and woman get married, they expect each other to be faithful. This scenario applies to Christians as well. We step into a covenant relationship with Jesus, but feel it’s okay to flirt with the devil at Halloween—after all, it’s all done in innocent fun. But it’s not fun in God’s eyes because the purpose of Halloween is to glorify Satan and everything evil—and it mocks God! The cross was a barbaric punishment established for the worst of criminals, and unknown to His accusers, Jesus became the worst of criminals when He took upon Himself every sin of every person and paid the punishment for them. Jesus loves us, and He gave His life to save ours. Let’s be faithful to Him, and cherish His gift of life. Let’s not give in to the evil one, even for one night. Let’s serve God faithfully in EVERYTHING we do.
