Many Christians believe God’s Spirit comes down and fills the room during worship, but He doesn’t. God fills each believer with His Spirit when we accept His salvation—and He never leaves us (Hebrews 13:5). But many don’t spend time praying, worshiping, or reading their Bibles, and when they feel distant from God, they assume they need a fresh anointing. But we only get one! We either have God in us, or we don’t! He’s not OUR servant to call at whim because we wave our arms and demand His presence. He is Holy! We submit to Him and grow our relationship with Him by spending time in prayer and worship, and studying His Word, so He can live in and through us! As we draw near to God, we’re filled with His presence, and He becomes strong in us!
