We succeed in our chosen careers when we’re submissive, invest time, study fervently, and practice faithfully. We don’t skip the learning process and jump from wanting to be a brain surgeon to going right into the operating room. It’s the same for Christians. We accept Jesus as our Savior and choose to make Him our reason for living, but now we must study the Bible to know Him, His ways, and His plan for our lives. Jesus teaches us through His Word. It’s good to be with other Christians to learn and grow together, but each one must meditate on God’s Word and learn from Him to avoid being deceived by false teachers. Then, we will be the Christians Jesus has called us to be!
