There’s an old saying, “When you play with fire, you get burned.” Many Christians are unaware that they’re kindling dangerous fires by taking their salvation for granted, not reading their Bibles to know God and discerning right from wrong, and still keeping one foot in the world. The Bible has a saying, too, “You reap what you sow.” We may choose to live in ignorance, but the devil uses that to lure us into a bad situation, convince us that God’s okay with it, and then set us up for the kill. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, our ways and motives change; we come out of the world and its ways and live for Jesus! We’ll still have struggles, but Jesus will lead us through them with victory because HE is our Lord, who keeps us safe when we follow Him.
