Most people have no idea how much God loves them. They see Him as an unjust god who demands things His way or no way. They don’t see that He’s Holy and full of love, and that it’s sin He hates because it separates us from Him. It’s not until we realize that we’re sinners in need of a Savior, and that Jesus IS that Savior who left His throne in Heaven to become a man and die on the cross in our place for our sins, that we see His love for us. And when we accept His salvation, we’re filled with His Spirit so that He now hears and answers our prayers. But we’re not perfect; we still do things we shouldn’t, yet He’s quick to forgive when we ask Him. The world can’t know God’s love because they don’t know Jesus, but we know Him, and we know He’s full of compassion, slow to anger, and great in mercy!
