Some mornings are gloomy and overcast, and it’s hard to be joyful. Yet, as Christians, there’s more to joy than what our physical eyes see. We know that Heaven is beautiful, Holy, and perfect, and that Jesus left His throne there to come to this corrupt, evil world to be mocked and then barbarically killed on the cross to save us from Satan’s clutches and spare us from God’s wrath against sin. And we know He rose from the grave to give us an eternal home in Heaven with Him, and that He’s coming soon to take us there. When we rise each morning with an attitude of thankfulness and love for Jesus, we’ll see beyond our circumstances and the weather, and our hearts will rejoice and be glad in Jesus, our Savior and King.
