Many identify themselves by lifestyle or social status, but a Christian’s identity is found in Christ! Genesis 1:27 says I am created by God, but born into this sinful world, so Jesus came and died for me so my sins would be forgiven (John 3:16). He picked me to be His own, so I’m chosen (Ephesians 1:4-5), showed me His grace (Ephesians 2:8-9) so I could be saved, redeemed me by His own sacrifice because He loves me (Romans 5:8), and has prepared a wonderful future for me (John 14:1-3). I no longer belong to this world; I’m a citizen of Heaven (Philippians 3:20), and proud to be called a child of God! (John 1:12)
