We live in an evil world! John 16:33 says that Christians will struggle because we stand for Jesus, whom the world hates. Problems come for many reasons: we bring them on through our foolishness, God allows them to teach us something, or Satan attacks us to destroy us. When we actively share the gospel and treat others as Jesus would, we can expect problems because the enemy wants to stop us. But when we keep our eyes on Jesus and trust Him, knowing He’s already defeated the devil, we’ll see the lifeline He’s given us to safety and abundant life.
