A small child facing a bully alone will cry in fear! But when he runs to his father and stands behind him, the bully runs in fear. This is our relationship with God. He is our Father and Protector, our shelter and our refuge, and NO one equals His power or His love. On our own, we have every reason to fear the devil because he’s cold, evil, heartless, and hates us, and we are powerless to overcome him. But when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, God stands between us and the devil with authority because Jesus defeated the devil at the cross. When God is for us, NO one can hurt us.
