A good idea remains just that until we act on it and commit to it. It’s the same with Christianity. Many accept it as a good idea but don’t commit to it, and then struggle trying to be something they are not. But, when we put aside religion and appearances and accept that we are sinners in need of a Savior and that Jesus IS that Savior, and then receive His gift of life, we are changed: we ARE Christians. Then it’s no longer an effort but our heart’s desire to read His Word, sing praises to His name, and come into His presence because God’s Spirit in us draws us to Himself.
