Fear is a powerful emotion and can humble the bravest of souls. Many are afraid of God because they don’t know Him. Yet, He gave us His Word to know Him and to learn how sin separated us from Him and how Jesus redeemed us. To fear the Lord is to know God is Holy and pure and that He can and WILL do what He says He’ll do. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we’re not afraid of God; we reverence Him as our Father who has all authority. We live in His love, grace, and mercy and obey Him because we love Him!
