Mary didn’t choose her baby’s name; God told her to call him Jesus because He was Immanuel, “God with us” (Isaiah 7:14). He came to be the Savior of the world by giving His life so our sins would be forgiven, and then raising from the grave to give us eternal life with Him. The name of Jesus is the name above ALL names and the ONLY name that has the power to forgive sins and get us into Heaven. And all we have to do is ACCEPT Jesus as our Savior and follow Him!
