Contrary to common misunderstanding, God is not an overbearing tyrant. Nor is He our personal genie who gives us everything we want. God created us, His children, in love, but when Satan deceived Eve into sinning, our Holy bond with our Father was broken. Jesus came and paid the punishment for our sins when He died on the cross, and when we accept Him as our Savior, we’re redeemed back to God. Greater love has no one than this that He’d lay down His life for his friends (John 15:13).
