We are Christians because Jesus has forgiven us for our sins, BUT we are not perfect! We’ll still do things we shouldn’t or not do things we should, and we worry that we’ve angered God or become separated from Him. But as Paul said in Romans 8:38-39, nothing can separate us from the love of God because we are His children. So, just as earthly children confess to their parents something they did and will be forgiven, we can go to our Heavenly Father, tell Him we’re sorry, and know that He’ll never turn us away because He is loving and merciful.
