What is faith? It’s our confidence in God, the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). It’s NOT given automatically when we accept Jesus as our Savior. We can’t get it by mimicking the words and actions of others OR reciting positive words. Faith comes from studying the Bible to know God as His Spirit teaches us His truth. Our confidence will then be in Jesus alone because we know He IS God, His words are true, and He keeps His promises! Faith says, “If God said it, I believe it!”
