The world has programmed us to believe that we deserve material wealth, so we strive toward it and get depressed when we don’t get it. But when we focus on Jesus and all He’s done for us and is doing, we are content with what we have. We know God is faithful and supplies our needs, and if He doesn’t grant us the desires of our hearts, it’s because it’s not for us at this time. We can be who God has called us to be and reflect His peace and joy on others when our eyes are on Jesus and not on the things of this world.
