Many new Christians dive right into doing “good works” FOR God—but God doesn’t NEED our help! When we accept Jesus as our Savior, He becomes our LORD, and we have to study the Scriptures to know Him so that WE can serve HIM and follow HIS instructions. As we study and spend time in prayer and worship, we develop a relationship with Jesus, and His Spirit in us instructs us in what HE wants us to do. WE are to fit into God’s plans, not the other way around, and we give God the glory when we realize that JESUS is Lord and that our position is to follow and obey Him!
