Paul says in 1 Timothy 6:10 that if we desire material wealth more than God, that desire can become the root of many kinds of evil. God wants to bless us, and when we love Him more than material possessions, He will continue to bless us. When our desire to share our wealth with those in need is greater than our own selfish desires, then God’s blessings to us become blessings to others as we share the love and knowledge of Christ with them. God blesses those with a bountiful eye.
