Christianity is not about obeying rules or committing to a church. It’s not about works to earn our salvation, and it’s not about denying the desires of this world to try and live a holy life. Being a Christian means realizing we are a sinner living in a corrupt world that’s about to face God’s judgment and accepting Jesus as our Savior who spared us from that when He died on the cross and took our sins away. Christianity is not a chore. We follow and obey Jesus because His love floods our souls and His laws fill our hearts, and it’s our joy and delight to praise God and do His will.
