Two things keep us from calling out to Jesus when we need help. We’re either too PROUD to ask God because we think it’s belittling; after all, we are wise, intelligent people and will figure it out ourselves. Or we are ASHAMED of our situation and too embarrassed to ask God or anyone else for help. So we hide alone, defeated, and grieve. But we need to realize that we are people living in a corrupt world and that God is the ONLY One who can bring us through our trials. We don’t need to suffer alone because—Jesus is here with us, and He’s as close as the mention of His Name.
