We can’t control the chaos in the world, but we can control our reactions to it. Jesus told us in John 16:33 that these things would happen, and He also told us how to get through them: trust Him and receive His peace. Jesus didn’t suggest that we take His peace—He told us to take it. When we do what Jesus said to do, He gives us the strength to live each day with hope and stay focused on the things that He’s prepared for us.
