We live in a corrupt world, and at times, even Christians do things or don’t do things that grieve God’s Spirit in us. But God is merciful, and when we confess these sins to God, He restores our hearts with His peace. King David loved God, yet he still slipped up at times, and when he did, he’d go to God with a humble heart and repent, and God always forgave him and restored His peace into David’s heart. We need to follow David’s example so that the peace and joy of God will continually flood our hearts, as well.
