Many people only pray when they want or need something from God. They don’t know Jesus but feel that if God is who He says He is, He’ll hear their prayers and give them what they ask for. God does hear everyone’s prayers, but He only answers the prayers of the righteous. This is because the sin that once separated us from God was removed when we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior and took on HIS righteousness. When we know Jesus, we know that God delights in our prayers!
