Sin separated us from God, so He promised to send a Savior to remove the sin and redeem us back to Himself. God told us repeatedly throughout the Old Testament that it was He who would be that Savior! He left His throne in Heaven to come to earth and become a man so He could die for our sins; we know this Savior as Jesus, the One whose birth we celebrate at Christmas. God gave everyone the opportunity to be saved from His judgment against sin. But ONLY those who accept Jesus as their Savior are forgiven and have a home in Heaven that He’s prepared for them. God’s Word is true, and He is faithful and so WORTHY of our trust and our praises!
