As parents, our children look to us for everything in their lives as we teach them how to grow up to be happy, healthy, and productive adults. We bless them, discipline them, protect them from all the evils of this world, and pray for them when they’re away so they’ll return home safely. This is the same attitude that God has towards us who have accepted Jesus as our Savior and been redeemed back to God. He watches over us, teaches us through the Scriptures, and draws us close to Him. When we are in trouble or have problems, He keeps us safe and helps us. He supplies all of our needs and blesses us. One day the world will bow at His feet in fear because they’ll see Him as Judge, but to us who love Him, we’ll see His open arms welcoming us Home because we know Him as Father!
