Why would God tell us to show love towards worldly people who are disrespectful and rude to us, or treat us poorly and even mock God? It’s because they are people just like us, but they’re trapped in the devil’s clutches and can’t see that the only way out is through Jesus! So, when we love them as Jesus loves us—unconditionally and full of grace and mercy—God’s love pours out and begins to break the chains that hold them prisoner. After a while, His love penetrates their hearts, and they can see Jesus, and Jesus can set them free just as He set us free when we didn’t deserve it. So, let’s keep His love going and watch what Jesus does in their lives!
